Momentous Records artists Brett Huus and Mike Starling have a long history of collaborating on music and video projects. Among other things, Mike served as co-producer on Brett’s Many Disguises of Zero album, and Brett has mastered most of Mike’s recordings including his 2020 Momentous release Backwaters. They have also written together on occasion, and the time has come to unearth some of those recordings from the vault.

Quiescence, a spontaneous, free-form piano-bass improvisation, is their first release on the Momentous label as the production team of Starling-Huus. Taste Like Chicken?, a tongue-in-cheek tune inspired by the first annual Buggette Feast in Lanseboro, Minnesota, dropped on the first day of spring in 2025.
